SOUTH EAST ASIA

The vast continent of Asia

In some ways it is a shame that South East Asia will be the shortest and last leg of our journey because it is undoubtedly the most culturally and geographically diverse continent in the world.

For 2 months we will be exploring this region of dramatic extremes, from the opulence of the Royal Palace and the natural beauty of the beaches in Thailand to the magnitude of the Great Wall of China and the sobriety of the killing fields of Vietnam. With so much to see I am sure that Asia will provide us with memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

Our journey will take us to the following destinations:

Beijing (China) to Xian (China)
Xian (China) to Yichang (China)
Yichang (China) to Chongqing (China)
Chongqing (China) to Shanghai (China)
Shanghai (China) to Guilin (China)
Guilin (China) to Guangzhou (China)
Guangzhou (China) to Hanoi (Vietnam)
Hanoi (Vietnam) to Halong Bay (Vietnam)
Halong Bay (Vietnam) to Hanoi (Vietnam)
Hanoi (Vietnam) to Bangkok (Thailand)

For this leg of our trip we plan to fly between destinations and because the cost of accommodation is very cheap in comparison to America or Europe we may often upgrade to a mid ranged price hotel. In Bangkok we plan to stay for three weeks with our friend Anthony before flying on to Brisbane.

Our big trip will be over, but the next chapter of our lives will just be begining.
